Faculty of Medicine, Chulalongkorn University and Sri Balaji Vidyapeeth Advance Partnership in Pulmonary Medicine and Global Health
BANGKOK, THAILAND – The Faculty of Medicine, Chulalongkorn University (MDCU) and King Chulalongkorn Memorial Hospital (KCMH) welcomed a delegation from Sri Balaji Vidyapeeth, India, led by Prof. Nirmal Coumare Venkataramanujam, Director of Hospitals and Outreach Services, and included Prof. Pajanivel Ranganadin, Head of Pulmonology at Mahatma Gandhi Medical College & Research Institute, as well as Mrs. Asha Suresh Babu, Director of Administration during 18–20 February 2026 to strengthen academic and research collaboration.
The visit included a strategic meeting with Assoc. Prof. Jiruth Sriratanaban, MD, PhD, Dean of MDCU, and the Faculty’s executive team; Prof. Unnop Jaisamrarn, MD, MHS Senior Executive Advisor for International Affairs, Prof. Naricha Chirakalwasan, Associate Dean for International Affairs, Prof. Nijasri C. Suwanwela, MD, Associate Dean for Academic Services & International Education and Director of Chulalongkorn University International Medical Program (CU-MEDi), Assoc. Prof. Parit Mekaroonkamol. Assistant Dean for International Affairs, and instructors of Division of Critical Care Medicine. The meeting focused on expanding partnerships in medical education, research, and clinical excellence.
Sri Balaji Vidyapeeth is a leading health sciences university based in Puducherry, India, recognized among the Top 100 universities in India by the National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) and accredited with an A++ grade by NAAC. SBV is internationally noted for its pioneering work in salutogenesis and holistic healthcare, being the first institution in India to offer degree programs in Yoga Therapy and Music Therapy integrated with modern medicine. The university also advances “frugal innovation” through its Central Interdisciplinary Research Facility, developing affordable and high-impact medical technologies, alongside state-of-the-art simulation centers and specialized research institutes in biomedical sciences, genomics, and health professions education.
The delegation also toured key academic and hospital facilities, including advanced simulation and pulmonary training units, digital Smart Kiosks for outpatient services, the hospital’s Waste Management Center under the “Green Hospital” initiative, and leading genomics research centers.
The visit strengthened both institutions’ partnership on student exchanges, joint research initiatives, implementation of holistic healthcare, and participation in the School of Global Health Fellowship Program and reaffirmed both institutions’ shared commitment to advancing global medical education, sustainable healthcare innovation, and impactful international partnership.

คณะแพทยศาสตร์ จุฬาลงกรณ์มหาวิทยาลัย และ โรงพยาบาลจุฬาลงกรณ์ สภากาชาดไทย ต้อนรับคณะผู้แทนจาก Sri Balaji Vidyapeeth (SBV) ประเทศอินเดีย ระหว่างวันที่ 18–20 กุมภาพันธ์ 2569 เพื่อหารือและขยายความร่วมมือด้านการศึกษาแพทยศาสตร์ การวิจัย และความเป็นเลิศทางคลินิก โดยมี รศ.ดร.นพ.จิรุตม์ ศรีรัตนบัลล์ คณบดี คณะแพทยศาสตร์ จุฬาลงกรณ์มหาวิทยาลัย และผู้อำนวยการโรงพยาบาลจุฬาลงกรณ์ สภากาชาดไทย พร้อมด้วย ศ.นพ.อรรณพ ใจสำราญ ที่ปรึกษาผู้บริหารอาวุโสด้านวิรัชกิจ ศ.พญ.นฤชา จิรกาลวสาน รองคณบดีด้านวิรัชกิจ ศ.พญ.นิจศรี ชาญณรงค์ รองคณบดีด้านการบริการวิชาการและการศึกษานานาชาติ และ รศ.นพ.ภาฤทธิ์ เมฆอรุณกมล ผู้ช่วยคณบดีด้านวิรัชกิจ คณะแพทยศาสตร์ จุฬาลงกรณ์มหาวิทยาลัย ให้การต้อนรับ พร้อมทั้งเข้าร่วมการประชุมและแลกเปลี่ยนข้อคิดเห็น ตามกำหนดการอันประกอบด้วยการประชุมร่วมกับคณบดีและคณะผู้บริหาร การนำเสนอข้อมูลสถาบัน และการเยี่ยมชมหน่วยงานสำคัญของคณะฯ และโรงพยาบาล

คณะผู้แทนจาก Sri Balaji Vidyapeeth ในการมาเยือนครั้งนี้ นำโดย Prof. Nirmal Coumare Venkataramanujam ผู้อำนวยการฝ่ายโรงพยาบาลและบริการชุมชน พร้อมด้วย Prof. Pajanivel Ranganadin หัวหน้าภาควิชาอายุรศาสตร์โรคระบบทางเดินหายใจ จาก Mahatma Gandhi Medical College & Research Institute และ Mrs. Asha Suresh Babu ผู้อำนวยการฝ่ายบริหาร
ในการหารือ ทั้งสองสถาบันเห็นพ้องในการจัดประชุมวิชาการร่วมด้านอายุรศาสตร์ระบบทางเดินหายใจ (Pulmonary Medicine) และส่งเสริมโครงการแลกเปลี่ยนนักศึกษาแพทย์และแพทย์ประจำบ้าน โดยนักศึกษาและแพทย์ประจำบ้านของคณะแพทยศาสตร์ จะมีโอกาสเข้าร่วมกิจกรรมบริการชุมชนซึ่งเป็นจุดแข็งของ SBV ในประเทศอินเดีย ขณะเดียวกัน นักศึกษาแพทย์จากอินเดียจะเข้าร่วมสังเกตการณ์ทางคลินิก ณ โรงพยาบาลจุฬาลงกรณ์ สภากาชาดไทย และโรงพยาบาลสมเด็จพระบรมราชเทวี ณ ศรีราชา รวมถึงการเปิดโอกาสให้นักวิจัยเข้าร่วมโครงการ Fellowship ที่ดำเนินการโดยสำนักบริหารวิชาการสุขภาพโลก (School of Global Health) คณะแพทยศาสตร์ จุฬาลงกรณ์มหาวิทยาลัย อีกด้วย นอกจากนี้ SBV แสดงความพร้อมสนับสนุนคณะแพทยศาสตร์ จุฬาลงกรณ์มหาวิทยาลัยในการพัฒนาแนวทางโยคะบำบัดและดนตรีบำบัดเพื่อดูแลสุขภาพแบบเสริมและเชิงป้องกัน
คณะผู้แทนยังได้เยี่ยมชมหน่วยงานสำคัญ อาทิ ศูนย์ฝึกทักษะทางคลินิกและการจำลองสถานการณ์ ระบบ Smart Kiosks สำหรับการบริหารจัดการผู้ป่วยนอก ระบบบริหารจัดการขยะทางการแพทย์แบบครบวงจรอันเป็นส่วนสำคัญในการลดผลกระทบต่อสิ่งแวดล้อมและยกระดับมาตรฐานสถานพยาบาลสีเขียว ตลอดจนศูนย์วิจัยด้านจีโนมิกส์และการแพทย์แม่นยำ
การเยือนครั้งนี้สะท้อนความมุ่งมั่นร่วมกันของทั้งสองสถาบันในการพัฒนาการศึกษาแพทยศาสตร์ระดับนานาชาติ ส่งเสริมนวัตกรรมสุขภาพอย่างยั่งยืน และสร้างความร่วมมือเชิงยุทธศาสตร์ที่ก่อให้เกิดประโยชน์ต่อภูมิภาคและประชาคมโลก
