ขับเคลื่อนอนาคตด้วยข้อมูล: คณะแพทยศาสตร์ จุฬาฯ ลงนามความร่วมมือกับ CNCB พัฒนาชีวสารสนเทศและวิทยาศาสตร์ชีวภาพ

คณะแพทยศาสตร์ จุฬาลงกรณ์มหาวิทยาลัย จัดพิธีลงนามบันทึกข้อตกลงความร่วมมือ (MoU) ร่วมกับ China National Center for Bioinformation (CNCB) ณ คณะแพทยศาสตร์ จุฬาลงกรณ์มหาวิทยาลัย โดยมี รศ.ดร.นพ.จิรุตม์ ศรีรัตนบัลล์ คณบดีคณะแพทยศาสตร์ จุฬาลงกรณ์มหาวิทยาลัย และผู้อำนวยการโรงพยาบาลจุฬาลงกรณ์ สภากาชาดไทย และ ดร. Yungui Yang ผู้อำนวยการ CNCB และผู้อำนวยการ Beijing Institute of Genomics, Chinese Academy of Sciences เป็นผู้ลงนาม โดย รศ.นพ.ภาฤทธิ์ เมฆอรุณกมล ผู้ช่วยคณบดีด้านวิรัชกิจ ทำหน้าที่พิธีกรผู้ดำเนินรายการ โดยมี ศ.นพ. อรรณพ ใจสำราญ ที่ปรึกษาผู้บริหารอาวุโสด้านวิรัชกิจ รศ.นพ.กำพล สุวรรณพิมลกุล ผู้ช่วยคณบดีด้านการบริการวิชาการและการศึกษานานาชาติและรองหัวหน้าศูนย์โรคอุบัติใหม่ด้านคลินิก (EIDCC) ดร.สุภาภรณ์ วัชรพฤษาดี นักวิทยาศาสตร์, EIDCC และผศ.ดร.สิระ ศรีสวัสดิ์ Computational Molecular Biology Research Group ร่วมต้อนรับ และเป็นสักขีพยานความร่วมมือนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อส่งเสริมการดำเนินงานด้านระบาดวิทยา ชีวสารสนเทศ และการใช้ข้อมูล Big Data ในวิทยาศาสตร์ชีวภาพ โดยมุ่งพัฒนาศักยภาพการวิจัยและนวัตกรรมด้านสุขภาพ บนพื้นฐานของความร่วมมือระดับนานาชาติ ก่อนการลงนาม ทั้งสองฝ่ายได้กล่าวเปิดงาน โดย ดร. Yungui Yang กล่าวถึงบทบาทของ CNCB ในการสนับสนุนเครือข่ายวิชาการระดับนานาชาติ และความร่วมมือด้านโรคติดเชื้อที่ดำเนินร่วมกับศูนย์โรคอุบัติใหม่ด้านคลินิก (EIDCC) พร้อมแสดงความตั้งใจในการขยายความร่วมมือด้านการวิจัย การฝึกอบรม และการแลกเปลี่ยนบุคลากร
ด้าน รศ.ดร.นพ.จิรุตม์ ได้กล่าวต้อนรับและเน้นย้ำถึงความสำคัญของความร่วมมือระหว่างสถาบันพันธมิตรในการพัฒนาความรู้และนวัตกรรม โดยความร่วมมือครั้งนี้จะช่วยเสริมสร้างศักยภาพบุคลากรในการประยุกต์ใช้เทคโนโลยีปัญญาประดิษฐ์และข้อมูลขนาดใหญ่ เพื่อยกระดับผลลัพธ์ด้านสุขภาพในอนาคต
ภายใต้ความร่วมมือดังกล่าว คณะแพทยศาสตร์ จุฬาลงกรณ์มหาวิทยาลัย จะดำเนินการจัดเก็บตัวอย่างชีวภาพและข้อมูลที่เกี่ยวข้อง ขณะที่ CNCB จะสนับสนุนการพัฒนาแพลตฟอร์มการแบ่งปันข้อมูลเชื้อก่อโรคในระดับนานาชาติ รวมถึงระบบมาตรฐานด้านข้อมูล โดยมีภาคีความร่วมมือร่วมสนับสนุนด้านการถอดรหัสพันธุกรรมและเทคโนโลยีที่เกี่ยวข้อง ความร่วมมือครั้งนี้นับเป็นก้าวสำคัญในการเสริมสร้างเครือข่ายความร่วมมือด้านวิทยาศาสตร์ชีวภาพในระดับภูมิภาคและนานาชาติ

Driving the Future of Data-Driven Health: MDCU Partners with CNCB in Bioinformatics and Life Sciences

Faculty of Medicine, Chulalongkorn University (MDCU) welcomed the China National Center for Bioinformation (CNCB) for the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU). The agreement was signed by Assoc. Prof. Jiruth Sriratanaban, MD, MBA, PhD, Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, Chulalongkorn University and Director of King Chulalongkorn Memorial Hospital, and Dr. Yungui Yang, Director of CNCB and Director of the Beijing Institute of Genomics, Chinese Academy of Sciences. Led by Assoc. Prof. Parit Mekaroonkamol, MD, Assistant Dean for International Affairs, the ceremony brought together senior MDCU representatives and researchers alongside the CNCB delegation including Prof. Unnop Jaisamrarn, MD, MHS, Senior Executive Advisor for International Affairs, Assoc. Prof. Gompol Suwanpimolkul, M.D., Assistant Dean for Academic Services Affairs and International Education, and Deputy Chief, Emerging Infectious Diseases Clinical Center (EIDCC), Dr. Supaporn Wacharapluesadee, PhD, EIDCC Senior Researcher, Asst. Prof. Sira Sriswasdi, PhD Head of Computational Molecular Biology, Dr. Parinya Tipanyo and Ms. Ifwa Wirasit EIDCC researchers, together with CNCB delegations. The partnership marks a strengthened commitment to advancing global scientific cooperation and fostering joint research in biomedical data and emerging infectious diseases.
The MoU aims to strengthen collaboration in epidemiology, bioinformatics, and big data in life sciences, with a shared commitment to advancing research capacity and fostering innovation in data-driven healthcare. Prior to the signing ceremony, both parties delivered opening remarks highlighting the importance of international collaboration in addressing global health challenges. Dr. Yungui Yang emphasized CNCB’s role in supporting global scientific communities and its ongoing collaboration with Thai researchers in infectious diseases, expressing interest in expanding joint research, training, and academic exchange programs.
Assoc. Prof. Jiruth Sriratanaban welcomed the CNCB delegation and underscored the value of strong partnerships in advancing knowledge and innovation. The Dean noted that this collaboration would extend beyond bioinformatics, contributing to the development of skilled professionals capable of leveraging artificial intelligence and big data to improve health outcomes.
Under this collaboration, MDCU will contribute biological samples and associated data, while CNCB will support the development of an international pathogen data-sharing platform and standardized data systems. Relevant partners will provide sequencing and technical support. This partnership marks an important step toward strengthening regional and global collaboration in life sciences, with the aim of enhancing research, innovation, and public health preparedness.
